There was an article online about how resumes have become much more difficult to write now. Since there are less jobs available this could be quite an important thing to worry about and a deciding factor in you being employed or jobless. Now it seems that everybody has the same type of generic resume with the same words to describe themselves. Employers have even become accustomed to these certain words. Some words have nowbecome meaningless and bore employers when they see them. Based on a survey on over 1,300 managers at companies, here are the top 10 words you should NOT use in your resume:

2. Self Starter
3. Team Player
4. Highly Qualified
5. Dynamic
6. Problem Solver
7. Reliable
8. Familiar with
9. Flexible
10. People Person
I found this very interesting because when I first looked at these words I said to myself, "How are u supposed to describe yourself in a resume if you should be avoiding these words? Is it even possible?" Then I thought to myself that you should specifically describe yourself in a resume. Not give basic adjectives describing yourself of what just about every other person applying for that same job is using. You should put yourself in the position of your employer and think to yourself "What would I want someone to write to me if they wanted me to hire them?" The above wordds are all clinches and cheesy and wont leaving a lasting impression on employers you're seeking a job from. You should be specific and clear information instead of generic information that won't seperate yourself from the competition.
